Pip the penguin woke up.
He felt brave today.
“I want to explore,” Pip said.
Mama Penguin smiled at Pip.
Pip lived on an icy land.
It was very cold and white.
Other penguins liked to swim.
But Pip was scared of the water.

Pip waddled to the water’s edge.
He saw a big wave splash.
“You can do it, Pip,” said Mama.
Pip took a deep breath.
Pip saw his friend, Tilly.
“Come on, Pip,” Tilly called.
The water looked so big.
Pip felt his heart race.

Pip closed his eyes.
Then, he jumped in.
The water was cold.
But Pip felt brave.
“I’m swimming!” he shouted.
Mama Penguin clapped her wings.
Tilly laughed with joy.
Pip swam in a circle.

Pip got out of the water.
He felt very proud.
“I did it!” Pip said.
Mama Penguin hugged Pip.
“You’re a brave penguin,” she said.
Pip smiled widely.
He wasn’t scared anymore.
Now he loved to swim.
The end.
