Molly the cat peeked out her window.
The moon was bright and round.
“Molly, where are you going?” asked her friend, Ben the bunny.
“I’m going to explore the night,” Molly said.
Ben wiggled his nose. “The night is dark!”
“But it’s also fun!” Molly grinned.
Molly loved her home in the garden.
She had never seen it at night.
“Ben, have you?” Molly asked.
Ben shook his head. “I snooze at night!”
“Let’s be brave together,” Molly smiled.
The garden looked silvery and new.

Molly and Ben tiptoed on the path.
“See the fireflies dance!” Molly pointed.
“They look like stars,” Ben giggled.
“Hello, little stars!” Molly waved with joy.
Wise Owl hooted from the tree.
“Whooo’s there?” he asked softly.
“It’s Molly and Ben,” Molly replied.
“Enjoy the moonlight,” Owl winked.

Suddenly, they heard a rustle nearby.
“Who could it be?” whispered Ben.
“It’s just the wind,” said Molly.
“But look! It’s a raccoon!” Ben gasped.
“Hello, friends,” said Ricky Raccoon.
“I’m searching for tasty treats.”
“Would you like to join us?” smiled Molly.
“We love having new pals.”

The friends wandered, laughed, and played.
The moon lit their way home.
“Molly, that was fun!” said Ben.
“We’ll be night explorers again,” Molly purred.
“Goodnight, moon!” said the sleepy friends.
And with happy hearts, they slept.
The end.
