Xerus was a curious squirrel.
He loved music and fun sounds.
One sunny day, Xerus had an idea.
“I want to make music!” he chirped.
“Let’s make a xylophone from the forest.”
Xerus dashed to find materials.
He found sticks of different lengths.
“Perfect for my xylophone!” he cheered.
Xerus loved the forest.
It was his big playground.
He often heard birds singing.
He wanted to make music too.
His friend Zara, the rabbit, jumped over.
“What are you doing, Xerus?” Zara asked.
“I’m making a xylophone!” Xerus replied.
“Oh, can I help?” Zara wondered.

“Of course!” said Xerus with a smile.
“Help me find smooth stones.”
Zara hopped and found a pile.
“These are perfect stones, Zara!” Xerus grinned.
They laid sticks and stones in a row.
“Our xylophone is ready!” Xerus declared.
“Let’s play some music!” giggled Zara.
Xerus tapped a stick gently.
“What sound does this make?” he asked.
Zara listened and clapped with joy.
“It sounds like raindrops,” Zara giggled.
Xerus beamed. “Let’s play faster now!”

Xerus and Zara made fun beats.
Tap, tap, tap went the sticks.
Animals gathered around to listen.
“What a lovely tune!” chirped a bird.
“I love your music!” squealed a hedgehog.
Xerus felt so happy inside.
“Let’s all dance to our music!” he said.
The whole forest began to dance.
Xerus and Zara laughed with joy.
They played and danced all afternoon.

As the sun began to set, Xerus smiled.
“We made the forest sing,” he said.
“Music is magical,” Zara whispered softly.
Xerus nodded and said, “Music is special.”
The forest felt warm and happy.
Xerus hugged Zara. “Thank you for helping.”
Zara smiled back. “It was so much fun!”
They packed up their xylophone and went home.
The end.
