The little knight woke up with a big yawn.
Today is the day, he said.
He put on his shiny armor.
The sun was bright in the sky.
He hopped on his horse, Brave.
We must save her! the knight said.
Brave neighed and they rode fast.
The princess was far away.
She was trapped by a sorcerer.
The castle was dark and cold.
The knight had heard many tales.
He knew the way quite well.
The cave is close, the knight said.
Do not fear, he told Brave.

Through the forest they rode.
Birds sang sweet songs around them.
Soon, they reached the gate.
The castle was tall and grey.
The little knight jumped down.
We’re not alone, he whispered.
Owl, his friend, flew near.
Let us help, Owl said.

Past the gate, the knight walked slow.
The sorcerer saw them coming.
He waved his wand with a laugh.
But the little knight was brave.
He raised his shield up high.
No tricks today, he said.
Owl flew to the princess’s side.
Hurry, come with us, Owl said.

The little knight cheered aloud.
Free at last, he said with joy.
Brave stomped his feet in glee.
The princess, with a smile, thanked them.
You are my hero, she said.
The knight, Owl, and Princess left.
Sunshine lit their path home.
And they were happy forever.
The end.
