One sunny morning, Quigley the quokka woke up with a smile.
She stretched her little paws and hopped out of her nest.
“Today is a good day!” Quigley chirped happily.
Her friend, Ollie the owl, was flying nearby.
“Good morning, Quigley!” screeched Ollie.
“What’s your plan for today?”
“Something fun!” Quigley replied. “Come with me to the meadow!”
Together, they bounced and flew toward the lush, green meadow.
Quokka Island was always a happy place.
All the animals loved it there.
Quigley lived on the island with many friends.
There were kangaroos, koalas, and kookaburras too!
Every day, Quigley loved to visit her friends.
She spread laughter wherever she went.
“Hello, everyone!” she’d say, waving her little paws.
She wanted everyone to feel the joy she felt.

As they got to the meadow, they saw Lucy the lizard.
Lucy looked a bit sad.
“What’s wrong, Lucy?” asked Quigley, tilting her head.
“I lost my favorite pebble,” Lucy sighed.
“Oh no,” said Ollie, “Can we help you find it?”
Quigley jumped up. “Let’s play a game while we search!”
“Follow my lead and hop like me, Lucy!”
Lucy giggled and began to hop around.
Soon, all the friends were hopping together.

Suddenly, Quigley spotted something shiny near the flowers.
“Look!” she shouted, her eyes sparkling.
Lucy scurried over and gasped.
“It’s my pebble!” Lucy exclaimed joyfully.
All the friends gathered around her.
They cheered and celebrated together.
Quigley’s heart bubbled with joy.
“We’re like a big, happy family!” Ollie hooted.
“Thank you, Quigley!” Lucy hugged her tightly.

As the sun began to set, the friends sat together.
Quigley grinned from ear to ear.
“Did everyone have fun?” she asked.
“Yes!” they all cheered with smiles.
Quigley thought, spreading happiness was her special gift.
She loved to see her friends happy.
With the sky turning pink and purple, Ollie flapped his wings.
“This was the best day!” he said, looking at the others.
Quigley knew that tomorrow would bring more joy.
She yawned and said, “Goodnight, friends.”
All her friends waved goodbye.
The end.
