“Get up, Alex! We need to go to the forest right now!” Bella shouted.
Alex rubbed his eyes and asked, “Why, Bella? What’s the rush?”
“The dragon! He’s lost his moonstone. If we don’t find it soon, the realm will go dark,” Bella explained urgently.
Alex quickly put on his shoes and grabbed his flashlight. They ran out the door and into the dense forest.
Long ago, the dragon guarded a magical moonstone that kept balance in the land.
Without it, crops wither, rivers dry, and nights become endless.
“Remember, Grandma told us the moonstone has a faint glow,” Bella reminded Alex.
“Yes, and it’s only visible at dusk,” Alex added, “We should hurry. It’s almost evening.”

They entered the deepest part of the forest where the light barely reached.
“Look, Bella, footprints!” Alex pointed to the ground.
“Those must be from the dragon,” Bella said excitedly, “Let’s follow them.”
They continued deeper, following the shimmering footprints.
Suddenly, they heard a growl. They stopped and listened.
“Who’s there?” Bella called out bravely.
“I am Morgrim, Guardian Gnome,” a tiny voice replied.

Bella and Alex saw a small, grumpy gnome with a green hat.
“Why are you here?” Morgrim asked, scratching his head.
“We’re looking for the dragon’s moonstone,” Alex explained, “Can you help us?”
Morgrim thought for a moment and said, “I know where it is, but it’s guarded by the Thorn Witch.”
“How do we defeat the Thorn Witch?” Bella asked.
“With kindness and courage,” Morgrim said, “Follow me, but be careful.”
They walked through thorny bushes and finally saw a cave glowing dimly.
“That’s the moonstone’s glow!” exclaimed Bella.
Inside the cave, the Thorn Witch sat with the moonstone in her hands.
“You can’t have it!” she hissed.
“We come in peace,” Bella said softly, “We need it to save our realm.”
“You dare challenge me?” the Thorn Witch sneered.
“We believe in kindness and courage,” Alex spoke firmly, “Please return the moonstone.”
The Thorn Witch’s expression softened. She handed over the moonstone and said, “Go, restore your realm.”

Bella and Alex thanked the Thorn Witch and Morgrim.
They ran back to the dragon’s lair and placed the moonstone back in its rightful place.
The dragon woke up and stretched his wings. “Thank you, brave children,” he said, “You’ve saved us all.”
The sky turned a beautiful shade of blue, and the balance was restored.
“See, Alex, we did it!” Bella said with a big smile.
“Yeah, we really did,” Alex replied, feeling proud.
They returned home to their relieved parents.
“We found the moonstone,” Bella announced proudly.
“Now, the realm is safe again,” Alex added.
“You’re our heroes,” their parents said, hugging them tightly.
And from that day on, the realm lived happily ever after, balanced by the moonstone’s magic.
