Children discover a time portal and go on adventures.

“Hey, come look at this!” shouted Sam, waving his arm wildly.

Lily raced over, curiosity sparkling in her eyes. “What is it?”

Sam pointed to a shimmering circle hidden in the bushes behind their school.

“I think it’s a portal,” he said, his voice trembling with excitement.

Lily squinted at it. “A portal? To where?”

Sam shrugged. “Only one way to find out!”

Sam and Lily had been best friends since kindergarten.

They loved mysteries and adventures.

They often spent their weekends exploring the woods near their neighborhood.

But this was like nothing they had ever seen.

Lily took a deep breath. “Are you ready for an adventure?”

Sam nodded. “Always.”

They stepped through the portal, hand in hand.

Colors whirled around them, making them dizzy.

When the colors faded, they found themselves in a forest, but it wasn’t their forest.

The trees were taller, and the animals were unfamiliar.

A squirrel with blue fur chattered at them from a branch.

“Where are we?” Lily whispered.

“Maybe we traveled through time,” Sam suggested, his eyes wide.

Then they heard laughter.

Two children in old-fashioned clothes ran up to them.

“Hello! I’m Amelia, and this is my brother, Tom,” the girl said warmly.

Lily smiled. “I’m Lily, and this is Sam. We came through a portal.”

Amelia’s eyes grew big. “A portal? That’s amazing! You must be very brave.”

Tom chimed in, “Do you want to explore with us? We were just going to look for treasure.”

Sam’s eyes lit up. “Treasure hunting? Count us in!”

The new friends trekked through the forest together.

They followed a map that Tom had found in an old chest.

After walking for what felt like hours, they reached a tall hill.

“According to the map, the treasure should be buried here,” said Tom.

Amelia handed Lily a shiny shovel. “Let’s dig!”

They dug and dug, working together, laughing and chatting.

Finally, they hit something hard.

“Found it!” Sam exclaimed, wiping the sweat from his forehead.

They pulled out an ancient wooden box, covered in moss.

When they opened it, they found sparkling jewels and golden coins.

“We did it!” Amelia cheered, hugging Tom.

Sam grinned. “This is the best adventure ever!”

As the sun began to set, Sam and Lily knew it was time to go home.

“We have to leave,” Lily said, feeling a little sad.

“But we’ll never forget this adventure,” Sam added.

Tom and Amelia hugged them. “Visit us again through the portal!”

“We will,” promised Lily, squeezing Amelia’s hand.

They stepped back through the portal, holding a small golden coin as a token of their adventure.

Colors whirled around them, and then they were back at their school.

“Do you think it was real?” Lily asked.

Sam held up the coin. “Definitely.”

They smiled at each other, knowing they would always have a special story to remember.
