“Come on, Mia! Let’s go to the park!” shouted Jake.
Mia tied her shoes quickly.
“Wait for me, Jake!” she called back.
They ran to the park with big smiles on their faces.
At the park, they saw a colorful parrot on a tree.
“Wow, look at that bird!” said Mia.
The parrot suddenly spoke, “Hello, kids!”
Jake’s eyes widened. “Did you just hear that?”
Mia nodded, “Yes, it talked!”
This wasn’t an ordinary parrot.
His name was Paco, and he had a secret.
“I need your help,” said Paco.
“A special treasure is hidden nearby.”
Jake and Mia looked at each other in surprise.
“Will you help me find it?” asked Paco.

“Great! Follow me,” Paco instructed.
Paco flew to a big oak tree and waited for them.
“Look for the first clue under the big rock,” said Paco.
Mia and Jake lifted the rock together.
Underneath, they found a small piece of paper.
“It says, ‘Look near the shiny pond,’” read Mia.
“Come on, let’s go!” said Jake.
They ran to the pond, with Paco flying above.
“There! Another clue under that bench,” said Paco.
Jake reached under the bench and pulled out another paper.
“This one says, ‘Find the tall flower,’” he read aloud.
Mia spotted the tall flower first.
“Over here, Jake!” she shouted.
They ran to the flower and saw a tiny box.
“Open it, open it!” said Paco, excitedly.
Jake carefully opened it to reveal a small key and a note.
“The note says, ‘Use this key to unlock the park’s old chest,’” said Mia.
Paco guided them to an old chest near the park’s big fountain.
Jake used the key, and the chest creaked open.
Inside the chest, they found shiny gold coins and colorful gems.
“We found the treasure!” shouted Jake.
“Thank you for helping me,” said Paco.
“You’re welcome, Paco!” Mia replied happily.
“Can we go on more treasure hunts with you?” asked Jake.
“Of course!” said Paco with a wink.
The children knew they had found a new friend in Paco.
