One sunny day, Max, Lily, and Jake went exploring in the forest.
They loved to find new things and make up stories.
“Look!” shouted Max, pointing to the ground.
Lily and Jake ran over to see what Max had found.
“It’s a huge egg!” said Lily, her eyes wide with wonder.
Jake touched the egg gently. “It feels warm,” he said.
“We should take care of it,” suggested Max.
“Yes, it could be important,” agreed Lily.
The three friends thought about what kind of egg it could be.
“It looks like a dinosaur egg,” said Jake, excitedly.
“But dinosaurs are extinct,” Lily whispered, still amazed.
“Maybe it’s a special egg from long ago,” suggested Max.
They decided to protect the egg until they found its mother.
“I’ll build a nest for it,” said Lily.
“And I’ll look for food,” added Jake.
The friends worked together to give the egg a safe place.
Lily gathered soft leaves to make a nest.
Jake found some small insects and berries.
Max stood guard, making sure no one else came near.
“Do you think the mother dinosaur is looking for her egg?” asked Jake.
“I hope so,” said Max. “We have to be ready.”
As they waited, they heard rustling in the bushes.
“Did you hear that?” whispered Lily.
“Maybe it’s the mother,” said Jake, looking around.
Suddenly, a big shadow appeared between the trees.
They all held their breath and watched closely.
Out came a large, gentle dinosaur, searching the ground.
“It’s the mother!” cried Lily.
The mother dinosaur looked at the nest and the big egg.
She made a happy noise and nudged the egg gently.
“We did it! We found the mother!” shouted Max.
The dinosaur seemed to thank them with her kind eyes.
The friends felt proud and relieved.
The mother dinosaur carefully picked up the egg.
The friends watched as she walked back into the forest.
“I can’t believe we helped a dinosaur,” said Jake.
“This was the best adventure ever,” added Lily.
“I’m so happy we took care of the egg,” said Max.
The friends decided to always help those in need.
“Let’s come back to the forest tomorrow,” said Lily, smiling.
“Yes! Who knows what we’ll find next,” agreed Max.
Together, they headed home, ready for their next adventure.
