“Come on, Mia!” shouted Jake. “Let’s go explore the lagoon!”
Mia hurriedly grabbed her towel. “I’m coming, Jake!”
They ran to the lagoon’s edge, their flip-flops making funny sounds.
“Oh wow,” Mia said. “The water is sparkling like magic!”
Jake peered closer. “I think it is magic! Let’s jump in.”
Splash! They both jumped into the lagoon and felt a tingling sensation.
Jake and Mia loved to explore new places in their town.
They had heard stories about this lagoon from their grandpa.
“Legend says,” Grandpa told them once, “the lagoon’s waters are enchanted.”
“The waters can take you on amazing adventures.”
As Jake and Mia swam, they noticed something incredible.
“Look, Mia!” Jake pointed. “Fish are glowing in the water!”
Mia gasped. “Everything is so beautiful here.”
Suddenly, a friendly dolphin swam up to them.
“Hi kids,” said the dolphin. “I’m Splashy. Want to see something cool?”
“Yes, please!” Mia and Jake said together.
Splashy led them deeper into the lagoon.
“Hold onto my fin,” Splashy said. “We’re going on a ride.”
They held on tight as Splashy swam fast.
“Wheee!” they shouted as they zoomed through the water.
They saw an underwater palace with mermaids playing.
“This is amazing,” said Mia, her eyes wide in wonder.
Splashy smiled. “This lagoon is full of surprises.”
A sudden wave lifted them up. “Oh no, a whirlpool!” Jake shouted.
But instead of being scared, Splashy laughed. “This whirlpool is fun!”
It spun them around gently and deposited them back on the shore.
Mia looked at Jake. “That was the best adventure ever!”
Jake nodded. “We have to tell Grandpa everything.”
They waved goodbye to Splashy.
“Come back anytime!” Splashy called.
Jake and Mia smiled. “We will,” they promised.
