
Koala was looking up at a tall tree.
“I want to climb this tree,” said Koala.
His friend, Kangaroo, hopped over.
“Are you sure, Koala?” asked Kangaroo.
“It looks really tall!”
Koala nodded and took a deep breath.
“I’ll be careful!” said Koala.
Koala loved climbing trees.
But he had never climbed one this tall.
The branches looked like a staircase.
But they were so high up!
Koala remembered how much fun he had climbing before.
“Climbing is fun,” thought Koala.

Koala grabbed the first branch.
“Here I go!” he said to Kangaroo.
Kangaroo smiled and cheered.
“You can do it, Koala!”
Koala climbed higher and higher.
Each branch felt a little wobbly.
“Be careful, Koala!” shouted Kangaroo.
Koala’s paws started to tremble.
“I can do this,” he said to himself.

Suddenly, Koala looked down.
“Whoa, I am so high up!”
His heart started to race.
But then he looked up at the sky.
“The sky is so blue up here!” he said.
He took a deep breath and smiled.
“You’re almost there, Koala!” yelled Kangaroo.
Koala took the final big step.

Finally, Koala reached the top.
“I did it!” he said, grinning big.
Kangaroo cheered from below.
“Great job, Koala!”
Koala felt proud and happy.
“I can climb anything now!” he thought.
And he knew he had been safe and brave.
