“Wow, look at this old book!” Billy said, holding a dusty book.
Lucy leaned in, eyes wide. “It says it’s about time travel.”
Billy carefully opened the book. “Do you think it’s real?”
His sister shrugged. “I don’t know, but what if it is?”
They read the first page. “To travel back in time, say ‘Time, rewind!’ and close the book.”
Billy grinned. “Let’s try it!”
“Time, rewind!” they shouted together and shut the book.
Everything around them swirled and vanished.
Billy and Lucy found themselves in a strange, green forest.
“Where are we?” Lucy asked, looking around.
Billy pointed to a huge footprint on the ground. “Look at this!”
“It’s… it’s giant!” Lucy gasped.
Then, they heard a loud roar. “Was that a dinosaur?” Billy asked.
“I think we might be in the time of dinosaurs,” Lucy whispered.
They hid behind a bush as a large Triceratops walked by.

“We need to be careful,” Billy said.
Lucy nodded. “But also, this is amazing!”
A small dinosaur, a Velociraptor, ran past them.
“Did you see that?” Billy asked excitedly.
“Yes! Let’s follow it,” Lucy suggested.
They quickly but quietly followed the Velociraptor.
As they walked, they saw pterodactyls flying above and even a Stegosaurus in the distance.
“This is like a dream,” Billy said.
“But we have to find a way back,” Lucy reminded him.
“Right. The book!” Billy exclaimed.
He pulled out the book, but the pages were blank.
“Oh no,” Lucy said. “How do we get home?”

“We must figure it out,” Billy said determinedly.
Just then, the ground shook. A giant T. rex appeared.
“We need to hide, now!” Lucy shouted.
They ran and hid behind a huge fallen log.
The T. rex roared, searching for them.
“We need a plan,” Billy whispered.
Lucy noticed something on the T. rex. “Billy, look at its leg.”
There, hanging from the dinosaur’s leg, was a small glowing key.
“I bet that’s our way home,” Lucy said.
“But how do we get it?” Billy wondered.
“We have to be brave,” Lucy replied.
The T. rex was distracted by another dinosaur.
“Now’s our chance,” Billy said, racing toward the T. rex.
Lucy followed closely, her heart pounding.
“Careful, Billy,” Lucy warned as they got closer.
Billy climbed onto the log and reached for the key.
The T. rex noticed them and roared.
“Hurry, Billy!” Lucy shouted.
Billy grabbed the key, and they jumped off the log.
“Run!” Lucy yelled as the T. rex chased them.
They sprinted through the forest, heartbeats racing.

Finally, they lost the T. rex and caught their breath.
Billy held up the key. “Do you think it will work?”
“I hope so,” Lucy said.
They both pressed the key into the book’s cover.
“Time, forward!” they shouted and closed the book.
The world swirled again, and they found themselves back in their room.
“We made it,” Billy said, out of breath.
Lucy hugged him. “We really did.”
Billy looked at the book, now glowing softly.
“I think we should keep this adventure a secret,” he said.
“Agreed,” Lucy smiled.
They carefully placed the book back on the shelf.
Who knows what adventure they would have next?
The end.
