It was a chilly morning in the forest. Little Cub woke up shivering.
“Cub, come outside!” called Mama Bear.
Cub rubbed his sleepy eyes and stepped outside the den.
White snow covered the ground.
“What’s this, Mama?” Cub asked, curious.
“This is snow,” Mama Bear said with a smile. “It’s winter!”
Cub jumped up and down.
“I want to play in the snow!”
Cub had never seen snow before.
Winter was new and exciting for him.
Mama Bear showed Cub how to make tracks in the snow.
“Look at your footprints,” she said.
Cub laughed and pointed at his paw prints.
“Look, Mama! I made a star!”

They wandered over to the frosty pond.
“This is ice,” said Mama Bear. “Be careful, it’s slippery.”
Cub slid on the ice and laughed.
“Whee, this is fun!” Cub shouted.
“Let’s build something fun,” Mama Bear suggested.
“Do you want to build a snowman?”
“Yes, yes!” Cub clapped his paws.

They rolled big snowballs and stacked them up.
Mama Bear made a face with sticks and stones.
Cub put a hat on the snowman.
“Our snowman looks happy!” Cub said, excitedly.
Suddenly, Cub felt snowflakes on his nose.
“Something is falling from the sky!”
Mama Bear looked up and smiled.
“Those are snowflakes, just like the snow on the ground.”

As the snowflakes fell, Cub and Mama Bear danced.
“I like winter, Mama,” Cub said, hugging her.
“And winter likes you, my little Cub,” Mama Bear replied.
“Can we play again tomorrow?” Cub asked.
“Of course, every day is a new adventure,” Mama Bear answered, smiling.
Cub felt warm and happy inside.
He looked forward to more snowy fun.
The end.
