“Look, a talking tree!” shouted Mia, pointing at the big oak in the forest.
Max ran over, eyes wide with wonder. “No way! Trees don’t talk.”
Just then, the tree’s branches swayed, and a deep voice rumbled. “Oh, but I do.”
Mia giggled. “What’s your name, talking tree?”
The tree’s leaves rustled with delight. “You can call me Old Oak.”
Every weekend, Mia and Max explored the forest near their homes.
Their parents always said, “Be careful and have fun,” as they waved goodbye.
The forest was magical to them, with its tall trees and hidden paths.
But today was different because they found Old Oak, a tree like no other.

Old Oak noticed their excitement and said, “Would you like to hear a story?”
Max nodded eagerly. “Yes, please! We love stories.”
Old Oak chuckled. “Once upon a time, animals in this forest were best friends.”
Mia listened closely. “What happened next?”
Old Oak continued, “The forest was filled with laughter and games all day long.”
Max asked, “Even the squirrels and the birds?”
“Especially the squirrels and the birds,” Old Oak replied with a smile in his voice.

“But one day,” Old Oak’s voice grew serious, “everyone forgot how to play together.”
Mia frowned. “That’s so sad.”
Max’s eyes were big. “Could they ever be friends again?”
Old Oak nodded, “Yes, with a little help. And that’s where you two come in.”
Mia clapped her hands. “We can help! What should we do?”
Old Oak explained, “Bring them together for a game in the great clearing.”
Max grinned. “We can do that!”

Mia and Max ran all around the forest, inviting all the animals.
“Come to the great clearing for a game,” they called to everyone they met.
Soon, the animals gathered, curious and excited to play once more.
Old Oak’s branches swayed happily as everyone joined in.
“Laughter is magic,” Old Oak whispered to Mia and Max.
Max laughed. “We did it! The forest is happy again.”
Mia smiled up at Old Oak. “Thank you for your stories.”
Old Oak’s leaves shimmered. “Thank you for bringing friends together.”
As the sun dipped low, Mia and Max waved goodbye.
“We’ll come back soon,” Mia promised, and Max nodded.
As they left, they could still hear Old Oak’s gentle laugh rustling through the breeze.
The end.
