Max and Lily were playing in the woods behind their house.

Max grinned, “That’s exactly where we found the tunnel!”
With flashlights in hand, they returned to the entrance.
“Nervous?” Lily asked, feeling a mix of excitement and fear.
“A little, but we have to see what’s inside,” Max replied bravely.
The tunnel was narrow, and the ground was uneven.
“Watch your step,” Lily warned as pebbles skittered underfoot.
Deeper inside, they found strange markings on the wall.
“These are symbols from the map!” Max exclaimed, shining his flashlight.
The symbols led them further, revealing a large chamber filled with sparkling stones.
“Are these… jewels?” Lily asked, her voice echoing.
“Yes! We found the treasure!” Max replied triumphantly.
They carefully picked a few stones to show Grandpa Joe.
“Come on, let’s tell Grandpa,” Max said eagerly.
They made their way back, hearts still racing with excitement.
Grandpa Joe listened to their story, eyes twinkling with pride.
“I knew you’d discover something amazing,” he said, smiling widely.
The siblings handed him a glimmering blue gem.
“This is for sharing your stories with us, Grandpa,” Lily said warmly.
Grandpa Joe hugged them tightly, “Treasure or not, having you two is my greatest fortune.”
