Lily and Max ran to the forest.
“Look! A hidden path!” said Lily.
Max smiled. “Let’s go, Lily.”
They skipped along, hand in hand.
Trees danced in the gentle wind.
The sun peeked through the branches.
“I hear water,” said Lily.
Max nodded. “I hear it too!”
The path led to a bright lagoon.
“Wow!” said Lily. “It’s so shiny.”
“Hello!” chirped a tiny fish.
“Oh! It talks!” Max giggled.
The fish jumped and twirled.
“Swim with us!” it said.
Lily and Max waded in.
Splash! Laughter filled the air.
The sun started to dip low.
“We should go,” said Max.
“But we’ll come back!” said Lily.
The fish waved goodbye.
