One cold winter morning Ellie and Max looked out the window. The world was covered in fluffy white snow.
“Lets go play Max!” Ellie said excitedly hopping around in her boots.
Max nodded grinning. “Yes lets build the biggest snowman ever!”
They put on their coats hats and mittens. Quickly they dashed outside their breath making small clouds in the air.
The snow was magical today. It sparkled like tiny diamonds in the sunlight. The air was crisp and fresh.
Ellie and Max lived in a small village surrounded by tall pine trees. Their village was always peaceful and full of friendly faces.
Today though something seemed different. It felt like an adventure was waiting for them just around the corner.
Ellie started rolling a large snowball for the snowmans body. Max made a smaller one for the head.
Suddenly they heard a gentle whisper in the wind. “Follow the snowflakes” it said softly.
“Did you hear that?” Ellie asked Max her eyes wide with wonder. Max nodded pointing to the snowflakes swirling around.
“Theyre going that way” he said watching them dance toward the forest.
Filled with curiosity Ellie and Max decided to follow. The snowflakes twinkled like tiny stars leading the way.
As they reached the edge of the forest the snow stopped falling. In front of them stood a beautiful fox.
“Hello Ellie and Max” the fox said with a kind smile. “Im Flurry the guardian of the enchanted forest.”
Ellie gasped. “An enchanted forest?”
Flurry nodded her fur glowing softly. “Yes! Would you like to see a magical snowfall journey?”
Max clapped his mittens. “Yes please! We love adventures!”
Flurry led them deeper into the forest. The trees sparkled with frost their branches glinting in the winter sun.
Suddenly the sky filled with shimmering snowflakes swirling around like a magical dance.
Ellie laughed reaching out her hands. “This is amazing!”
From behind snowy trees other creatures appeared. A gentle snow owl a playful rabbit and even a reindeer with a bell on its neck joined them.
The creatures twirled around singing a joyful song.
After the magical dance Flurry walked with them back to the village. “Thank you for visiting our forest” she said.
Ellie and Max were glowing with happiness. “Thank you Flurry. Weve never seen anything like it” Max said.
With a wink Flurry disappeared into the frosty branches. Ellie and Max headed home the magical memories warming their hearts.
That night they snugged in their beds dreaming of enchanted forests and dancing snowflakes.
The next morning the village looked just like before. But Ellie and Max knew they had been part of something very special.
The world was full of magic if only you knew where to look.
