“Look, Sammy!” said Lily, pointing at the shiny rock.
“What is it?” Sammy asked, eyes wide with wonder.
Lily said, “It’s a quirky quartz!”
“What’s a quartz?” Sammy tilted his head.
“It’s a special rock,” Lily explained with a smile.
“Let’s find more!” Sammy shouted, hopping with excitement.
Lily loved looking for rocks in the park.
She knew all about crystals and minerals.
Sammy was her best friend and loved joining her.
“How do rocks get shiny?” Sammy wondered aloud.
Lily replied, “They take a long, long time to grow.”
“Do they sleep like we do?” Sammy giggled.

Lily said, “Kind of! Let’s pretend they’re dreaming.”
“Dreaming rocks!” Sammy laughed, clapping his hands.
They walked by the big oak tree.
“Maybe there’s more quartz here,” Lily said hopefully.
Sammy asked, “How do we find them?”
“Look for sparkles,” Lily advised, showing him.

“Look!” Sammy shouted, pointing near a bush.
A shiny rock peeked out from the soil.
“It’s another quirky quartz!” Lily exclaimed, excitedly.
“We found it together!” Sammy cheered, holding it up high.
The sun made it sparkle brightly in his hand.
“Just like stars in the sky,” he whispered in awe.

Sammy said, “Let’s keep it safe and sound.”
“Yes, it can be our treasure,” Lily nodded.
“We can find more tomorrow,” Sammy suggested with a grin.
“We’ll have an adventure,” Lily agreed happily.
They skipped home, dreaming of their next quest.
“Goodnight, shiny quartz!” Lily waved goodbye.
The end.
