Mouse woke up when the sun went down.
She stretched her tiny paws and yawned.
“Time for my moonlit feast!” said Mouse cheerfully.
Mouse hurried out of her cozy, little house.
The night was bright with a big, shiny moon.
All was quiet, except for the sound of crickets.
Mouse looked around the meadow.
She loved her nighttime adventures.
“Why is it night and not day?” asked Mouse to herself.
“Our moon shines while others sleep,” remembered Mouse.

Mouse wandered and found her friend Owl.
“Hello, Owl,” said Mouse, waving her paw.
“Good evening, Mouse,” hooted Owl, nodding his head.
“Are you here for tasty treats too?” asked Mouse.
“Yes, I am hunting for juicy bugs,” said Owl.
Mouse smiled and scampered to the berry bush.
She picked a plump berry and nibbled on it.
“Mmmm, so sweet!” said Mouse, licking her lips.

Just then, a rustling sound came from the grass.
Mouse stopped and listened carefully.
“Who’s there?” she asked with a tiny squeak.
“It’s just me,” said Hedgehog, popping out.
Hedgehog loved to search for snacks at night.
“Join me in my feast, Hedgehog,” invited Mouse.
“Thank you, Mouse,” said Hedgehog, sniffing around.
They both happily munched under the glowing moon.

The meadow was peaceful with their munching sounds.
“Tonight was fun,” said Hedgehog, smiling shyly.
“Yes, our moonlit feast was the best,” agreed Mouse.
Owl flapped his wings above them, waving goodbye.
“We are the night friends,” said Mouse proudly.
“And the moon is our friend too,” added Hedgehog.
“Do you think the moon likes berries?” asked Mouse.
“Maybe,” giggled Hedgehog, “We’ll save one for him!”
The end.
