One night, Owl flew over the trees.
He saw his friends, Rabbit and Mouse.
“Hello, Rabbit!” Owl hooted.
“Hello, Mouse!”
Rabbit and Mouse looked up.
“Hello, Owl!” they said together.
“What are you doing?”
“We’re playing a game,” Rabbit said.
“It’s called Questions.”
Mouse added, “You have to ask questions.”

Owl was curious.
“What kind of questions?” he asked.
“Any kind,” said Rabbit.
“Like, why is the moon shiny?” Mouse asked.
“Or, why do stars twinkle?” added Rabbit.
Owl lifted his wings.
“I like this game! Can I play too?”
“Of course!” Rabbit and Mouse said.

Owl thought of a question.
“Why does the night feel cool?”
Rabbit said, “Because the sun is sleeping.”
Mouse added, “And the stars are awake.”
Again, Owl asked, “Why is the sky dark?”
Rabbit answered, “Because the sun is on the other side.”
Mouse said, “The moon lights our way.”
Owl hooted happily.
“I like asking questions. I like learning new things!”

Rabbit and Mouse smiled.
“We do too!” they said.
Owl fluffed his feathers.
“Let’s ask more questions tomorrow.”
“Yes,” said Rabbit.
“Let’s learn together!” said Mouse.
The three friends smiled.
Under the twinkling stars, they wished each other goodnight.
The end.
