Yak spins yarn and weaves a blanket, teaching about crafts and patience.

Yak was very busy. He was spinning yarn in his yard. Annie Ant walked over. “Yak, what are you doing?” asked Annie. “I’m making yarn for a blanket,” said Yak. “Can I help?” Annie asked, excitedly. “Sure, Annie,” said Yak. “You can pick the colors.”

Yak loved making yarn. His friends liked watching him work. They thought it was fun. Annie looked around the yard. There were many colors of yarn. Red, blue, yellow, and green yarns were everywhere. “Which colors should we use, Yak?” Annie asked. Yak thought for a moment.

“Let’s use all the colors,” Yak said. Annie jumped up and down. “Yay, that will be so pretty!” They started to weave the yarn together. First, they used the red yarn. Then they added the blue yarn. Yak showed Annie how to weave. “Over and under,” Yak said, “Just like this.” “Over and under,” Annie repeated.

Soon, their friends Crow and Rabbit came by. “What are you doing?” Crow asked. “We are making a blanket!” Annie said proudly. “Can we help too?” asked Rabbit. “Of course,” said Yak, “We need more hands.” Crow picked up the green yarn. Rabbit grabbed the yellow yarn. They all worked together.

After a while, the blanket was finished. It was colorful and soft. “It looks amazing!” said Annie. “We did a great job together,” said Yak. “I can’t wait to use it,” said Crow. “Me too,” said Rabbit, smiling. They all sat on the blanket. It was warm and cozy. “Crafting is fun when we do it together,” Yak said. “Yes, it is!” everyone agreed. The end.
