Walrus woke up early. Today was the big sea ball.
“Good morning, Octopus,” said Walrus. “Are you ready for the sea ball?”
“Yes,” replied Octopus. “But can you waltz, Walrus?”
Walrus shook his head. “No, but I want to learn!”
In the deep blue ocean, all the sea animals loved to dance.
They practiced for the sea ball every year.
Walrus watched them twirl and swirl.
“How do they do that?” Walrus wondered.
“Come on, Walrus,” said Octopus. “Let’s find someone to help you.”

Walrus and Octopus swam over to Starfish.
“Can you teach me to waltz?” asked Walrus.
“Of course, Walrus,” said Starfish. “Step this way.”
Walrus followed Starfish’s steps slowly.
“One, two, three. One, two, three,” Starfish chanted.
“Wow, this is fun!” said Walrus.
Next, they found Seahorse.
“Can you show me some more moves?” asked Walrus.
“Sure!” said Seahorse. “Let’s twirl and swirl!”
Walrus tried his best. “Am I doing it right?”
“Yes, keep it up!” said Seahorse.

That night, the sea animals gathered. The music started.
Walrus felt nervous. “What if I forget the steps?”
“Just have fun,” said Octopus. “You can do it!”
Walrus took a deep breath. He stepped onto the dance floor.
“One, two, three. One, two, three,” he muttered.
He twirled and swirled. Everyone cheered for him.
“Look at Walrus go!” said Seahorse.
Walrus grinned. “This is wonderful!”

After the dance, Walrus felt proud. “I did it!”
“Yes, you did,” said Starfish, smiling.
“You danced beautifully,” said Octopus.
“Thank you, everyone!” said Walrus.
He looked around at his friends. “Let’s dance again next year!”
