Walrus waddled to his workshop early one bright morning. He was excited to try watercolor painting for the first time. “Hello, Brush,” Walrus said, picking up a big brush. “Good morning, Colors!” he greeted his colorful paints with a smile.
Walrus had never painted before, but he loved colors. He had seen many beautiful pictures and wanted to make his own. His friend Otter had given him the paints and brushes. “Just have fun,” Otter had said with a wink.
Walrus dipped his brush into the blue paint. “Swish, swish,” he moved the brush on the paper. He mixed blue with yellow and watched it turn green. “Wow, green!” Walrus giggled, feeling happy and amazed.
“What will you paint next?” asked Otter, who came to visit. “Maybe a fish?” Walrus said and tried to draw a fish. The fish looked more like a blob, but it was colorful! “You can do it!” Otter cheered him on with a big smile.
Walrus decided to paint a big, bright rainbow. “Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple,” he said aloud. But he didn’t know what to paint next and got stuck. “Mix them all!” Otter suggested with excitement.
Walrus mixed all the colors and made a big splash. “Oh no!” he cried, seeing the mess on his paper. “It looks like a party!” Otter laughed and clapped his paws.
Walrus looked at his messy, colorful paper. “It’s not perfect, but it’s fun!” he said, feeling proud. “You made a splashy masterpiece!” Otter said, hugging Walrus. “Tomorrow, we will paint again,” Walrus decided. “With more colors!” Otter agreed with a happy bounce. “Art is fun,” Walrus said, smiling from tusk to tusk.
