
One day, Tommy the Turtle had an idea.
“I want to make a time capsule!” he said.
“What’s that?” asked his friend, Polly the Parrot.
“A box to save special things in,” Tommy explained.
Tommy and Polly started to collect items.
Tommy remembered his grandma’s stories.
She talked about when she was young.
He wanted to save things for future turtles.
Tommy and Polly looked around the pond.
“Look at this shiny pebble!” said Polly.
“It’s perfect,” Tommy agreed.

They found an old coin near the pond.
“We can put this in,” said Polly.
“Good idea! What else?” wondered Tommy.
“What about this feather?” Polly asked.
“Yes, it’s lovely and soft,” Tommy said.
They put the items in a small box.

“Let’s find a spot to bury it,” Polly suggested.
“How about under that big tree?” Tommy asked.
“Perfect!” Polly agreed with a nod.
They dug a small hole together.
“Goodbye, time capsule!” said Polly.
“See you in the future,” Tommy added.

They covered the box and patted the earth.
“That was fun!” Polly cheered.
“Yes, and one day, someone will find it,” Tommy said.
They walked back home, feeling happy.
“We did something special today.”
