Jake sprinted to Emma’s house, holding something sparkling in his hand.
“Emma! Look what I found!” he shouted, breathless.
Emma opened the door, her eyes wide with curiosity.
“What is it, Jake?” she asked, leaning in closer.
He unfolded an old, crinkled piece of paper.
“It’s a treasure map!” Jake exclaimed, his eyes shining.
Emma gasped and grabbed her backpack.
“We need to show Sam and Lily!” she said, running out the door.
Jake, Emma, Sam, and Lily were best friends, living in a small town by the sea.
Most weekends, they went on adventures, pretending to be pirates or secret agents.
That day, they planned to explore the woods, but the treasure map changed their plans.
As they gathered under a big oak tree, they unfolded the map to study it.
“Look at all these shapes and lines!” Sam said, scratching his head.
Lily pointed to an image of a large rock.
“I think I know where that is!” she said excitedly.

The friends decided to follow the map, hoping to find hidden treasure.
Their first stop was the large rock Lily had recognized.
“There’s a puzzle here,” Emma pointed out, noticing strange symbols on the rock.
Jake squinted and then grinned.
“I remember these symbols from a book. They mean we need to turn the rock five times.”
Sam and Jake pushed the rock, counting out loud.
“One, two, three, four, five!” they chanted together.
A hidden door creaked open, revealing a dark tunnel.
“This is getting interesting,” Lily said, lighting a flashlight.
They cautiously stepped inside, their hearts pounding with excitement.

Deep inside the tunnel, they found another puzzle.
An old chest sat in the middle of a small room, but it was locked with a combination.
The map had numbers scattered around it.
Emma studied the map closely.
“Those numbers must be the code,” she said, tracing the lines with her finger.
Sam, meanwhile, noticed the numbers formed an addition pattern.
“Each number is the sum of the two before it,” he pointed out.
Jake quickly added up the final sequence.
“Eight, twenty-one, and thirty-four!” he declared, spinning the numbers on the lock.
With a click, the chest opened, revealing a sparkling treasure of old coins and gems.

The friends stared at the treasure in awe, barely believing their success.
“We really found it!” Emma said, hugging Lily.
Sam picked up a gold coin and smiled.
“We should use some of this treasure to fix up the treehouse,” he suggested.
Jake nodded in agreement.
“And the rest can go to the town museum,” he added thoughtfully.
Lily grinned.
“This was the best adventure yet,” she said.
They all agreed as they started their journey back home, each holding a piece of the treasure.
For Jake, Emma, Sam, and Lily, this was just the beginning of many more daring quests.
