“Did you hear that?” asked Lucy, her ears perked up in the breeze.
Billy nodded. “It sounds like the windmill is talking!”
They stood before the old windmill on the farm.
The windmill was tall and wooden, with big, creaky blades.
Legend says it whispered secrets to those who listened closely.
Grandpa always told them magical stories about it.

“Let’s get closer,” said Lucy, taking Billy’s hand.
They tiptoed toward the windmill, ears wide open.
“I heard something!” Billy whispered excitedly. “It said, ‘Look in the barn!’”
Lucy grinned. “Let’s go to the barn!”

Inside the barn, they found an old map.
“It’s a treasure map!” Billy cried out, eyes wide.
The map had a big X marked near the river.
Lucy held the map tightly. “To the river we go!”
Hand in hand, they ran toward the river, hearts pounding with excitement.
They heard the windmill whisper again, guiding them through the woods.
“Look under the big oak tree,” whispered the wind.
Billy gasped. “There it is, the big tree!”
Lucy dug under the tree and found a buried box.
With shaky hands, she opened the box.
Inside were colorful marbles, shiny coins, and a note.
Billy read the note out loud. “To those who seek magic, the windmill will guide you.”

Lucy smiled. “This was the best adventure ever!”
Billy nodded. “The windmill really is magical.”
They ran back to the windmill to thank it.
Lucy whispered, “Thank you, windmill. We had so much fun.”
The windmill’s blades turned slowly, as if it was saying, “You’re welcome.”
Hand in hand, they walked back home, ready for their next adventure.
The end.
