One sunny day, Lily and Max were playing outside.
They loved exploring the woods near their house.
“Let’s go on an adventure!” Lily said excitedly.
Max nodded and grabbed his backpack.
They walked further into the forest, noticing colorful flowers and tall trees.
“Look, a squirrel!” Max pointed out.
Suddenly, they saw a small hedgehog by a bush.
It looked at them with curious eyes.
“This is Spike,” said the hedgehog, surprising the kids.
“You can talk?” Lily gasped.
“Yes, I have a secret,” Spike giggled.
“What secret?” Max asked, curious.
“I can help you find hidden treasures,” Spike whispered.
The kids were amazed and thrilled.
“Can we start now?” Lily asked eagerly.
“Of course,” said Spike, “Follow me.”

Spike led them deeper into the forest.
“Watch out for the thorny bushes,” Spike warned.
“We’ll be careful,” Max said.
They walked until they reached a small stream.
“There’s a clue here,” Spike said, pointing to a shiny rock.
“What does it say?” asked Lily.
Max picked up the rock and saw letters on it.
“It says, ‘Follow the water to find what you seek.’
“Let’s go!” said Lily.

They followed the stream until they saw a big oak tree.
“There’s something special in that tree,” Spike said.
Max and Lily looked closely.
“Wow, a little door!” Max exclaimed.
Lily knocked on the tiny door.
It slowly creaked open.
Inside, they found a sparkling box.
“Open it!” Spike encouraged them.
Lily and Max opened the box.
It was filled with colorful gems and a small map.

“These gems are beautiful,” said Lily.
“And this map shows more treasure spots!” Max added.
Spike smiled, happy to see them excited.
“Thank you, Spike,” said Lily.
“We’ll always remember this adventure,” Max agreed.
Spike nodded and said, “There’s more to discover. See you next time!”
Lily and Max waved goodbye.
They headed home, their hearts full of joy.
