One sunny day, Mia was playing in the forest.
She heard a rustling sound behind a bush.
“What could that be?” Mia wondered out loud.
She tiptoed closer and saw a dragon!
This dragon was not like others.
He was small and had bright green scales.
“Hi, my name is Danny,” said the dragon.
Mia was surprised. “A talking dragon!”
“Don’t be scared,” Danny said with a smile.
“I am a friendly dragon who loves the forest.”
Mia smiled back. “I love the forest too!”
“Do you want to be friends?” asked Danny.
“Of course,” Mia replied, giggling.
One day, a storm threatened the forest.
The animals were scared and started to run.
“Don’t worry, I’ll help,” said Danny bravely.
He flapped his wings and blew gentle fire.
The fire made a barrier protecting the forest.
Mia clapped. “You saved the forest, Danny!”
The animals cheered for Danny the dragon.
Mia hugged her new friend tightly.
“I’m glad we’re friends,” Mia said.
“Me too,” replied Danny with a smile.
They played in the forest every day.
And protected it from any harm together.
