Once upon a time, there was a little blue bird.
His name was Ben.
Ben lived in a big, colorful forest with his friends.
One sunny day, Ben was flying high in the sky.
He saw his friend, Polly the squirrel, in trouble.
“Help, help, I am stuck!” Polly cried.
Ben flew down quickly to Polly.
“Do not worry, Polly. I am here,” said Ben.
Polly the squirrel had climbed a tall tree.
She wanted to get the biggest acorn.
But now she could not get down.
She was very scared and needed help.

Ben thought fast and got an idea.
“Grab my wing, Polly. I will help you down,” he said.
Polly held onto Ben’s wing tightly.
Ben flapped his wings and slowly flew down.
“Thank you, Ben! You are so brave,” Polly said.
Ben smiled and felt proud.
Just then, they heard another noise.
It was their friend, Tommy the turtle.
Tommy was stuck in the mud by the river.
“Help, I cannot move!” Tommy shouted.
Ben flew over to Tommy.

“I will save you, Tommy,” said Ben.
Ben found a strong stick nearby.
He pushed the stick to Tommy.
“Hold on tight, Tommy,” Ben cried.
Tommy grabbed the stick with his mouth.
Ben flapped his wings hard and pulled him out.
Tommy was free and very happy.
“You are the bravest bird, Ben!” Tommy cheered.

All of Ben’s friends gathered around him.
“Thank you, Ben. You are our hero,” they said.
Ben felt happy and proud.
He knew he had strong, brave friends.
From that day, everyone trusted Ben.
They knew he would always help.
Ben realized being brave felt very good.
And he knew he could always help his friends.
The end.
