“Let’s build a robot to clean the beach,” declared Max as he held up a blueprint.
Lily clapped her hands. “Great idea, Max! Should it be tall or small?”
Max thought for a moment. “Maybe medium-sized. It should be big enough to carry lots of trash.”
“Got it!” Lily grabbed a pencil and began drawing.
Finn peeked over her shoulder. “Hey, what if it can also sort recyclables?”
“That’s a smart idea, Finn,” Max agreed. “Our robot will have three arms: one for trash, one for recycling, and one for compost.”
Lily’s eyes lit up. “Perfect! We need tools and supplies. Let’s head to the workshop.”
The three friends belonged to the Robot Builder’s League.
They often built robots to solve problems in their town.
Their workshop was an old garage filled with gadgets and parts.
“We have wires, metal scraps, and gears,” Finn said, rummaging through a box.
Max found some old bicycle wheels. “These can be its feet. It’ll roll across the sand smoothly.”
“And these glass jars for eyes,” added Lily. “We can make them light up for night cleaning.”
They spent hours planning and gathering materials.
The excitement grew as their beach-cleaning robot idea took shape.

The trio began assembling their robot.
“Pass me the screwdriver, Max,” Lily said, tightening a bolt.
“Here you go,” Max handed her the tool. “How’s the arm mechanism coming, Finn?”
Finn grinned. “Almost done. Look, it rotates and can grab things.”
They worked through the afternoon, connecting wires and welding parts together.
“Does anyone have a name for it?” asked Lily, wiping sweat from her forehead.
“How about Beebo?” Max suggested. “Like ‘Beach Cleaner Bot’.”
“Beebo it is!” Finn cheered. “Now, let’s program it to pick up trash.”
They typed commands into Beebo’s control panel.
“Test time!” Max announced, pressing the power button.

Beebo whirred to life, its eyes lighting up bright blue.
“Hello, my name is Beebo,” it said in a friendly voice.
“Awesome!” shouted Max. “Let’s see if it works.”
They hurried to the beach, Beebo rolling beside them.
Finn pointed to a soda can. “Beebo, pick that up.”
Beebo extended an arm, grabbed the can, and placed it into its recycling bin.
Lily gasped in awe. “It works! Beebo, you’re amazing!”
Beebo continued picking up trash, sorting recyclables, and composting food waste.
Then Beebo’s eyes turned red. “Error. Error,” it beeped, stopping suddenly.
Max panicked. “Oh no, what’s wrong with Beebo?”
“We need to recheck the program,” said Lily quickly.
Finn opened the control panel. “I see the issue. The battery is loose.”
He secured the battery, and Beebo’s eyes turned blue again.
“Thank you,” said Beebo, resuming its work.

By evening, the beach was spotless.
People gathered around to thank the kids and admire Beebo.
“This is the cleanest the beach has ever been,” said a woman with a smile.
Max, Lily, and Finn felt proud. “We did it, guys,” Max said, high-fiving his friends.
Beebo beeped happily. “Mission complete.”
“Let’s build more robots to help in different ways,” Finn suggested. “How about a garden-watering robot next?”
“That sounds fantastic,” said Lily. “We can solve so many problems together.”
Max nodded. “Robots like Beebo can make the world a better place.”
They all cheered, excited about the endless possibilities.
The end.
