Porcupine picked up his paintbrush.
He loved to paint.
“Time to make a new picture!” said Porcupine.
He dipped his brush in bright, red paint.
“Oops!” said Porcupine.
“I made a mistake!”
Porcupine lived in a small, cozy forest.
He had many friends.
Rabbit, Squirrel, and Owl often watched him paint.
They loved Porcupine’s funny art.
“You always make us laugh,” said Rabbit.
“Your paintings are so silly,” added Squirrel.

Porcupine started a new painting.
He wanted to paint a tree.
He drew a big, green tree first.
Then he added some apples.
“Oops!” he said.
“I made the apples blue.”
“Blue apples are funny!” giggled Rabbit.
Porcupine smiled and kept painting.
He drew a sun in the sky.
“Oops!” he said again.
“The sun has a face now.”
“Silly sun!” laughed Squirrel.

Owl flew over to see.
“What did you paint, Porcupine?”
Porcupine showed his funny picture.
Owl looked at the blue apples.
“You made funny blue apples,” said Owl.
“But I like them!”
“And look at that sun!” hooted Owl.
“What a happy face!”
Porcupine smiled.
His friends liked his silly painting.

Porcupine finished his picture.
It looked funny and bright.
“Thank you, friends,” said Porcupine.
“You make painting fun.”
Rabbit, Squirrel, and Owl clapped.
“We love your funny art!”
Porcupine felt happy.
He would paint again tomorrow.
