One sunny day, Leo the lemur was very excited.
He loved to play with his tail.
“Look at my tail,” Leo said to his friend, Tia.
Tia the toucan chirped, “It’s so long and strong!”
Lemurs use their tails to talk to each other.
Leo wanted to show Tia how he used his tail.
They sat by the big tree and began to play.
Leo’s tail waved side to side.
“Why are you waving your tail?” asked Tia.
“It’s how I tell others to come play!” Leo explained.
Tia flapped her wings happily. “That’s so cool, Leo!”
Leo then curled his tail into a circle.
“What does that mean?” asked Tia.
“It means I see something interesting!” Leo said.
Just then, Leo saw a butterfly.
He used his tail to point at it.
“Look, Tia! A butterfly!” Leo shouted.
Tia flew up to see it closer.
“I see it, Leo! It’s so pretty!” Tia exclaimed.
Leo and Tia played until the sun began to set.
They used tails and wings to talk and laugh.
“I’m glad you taught me about your tail,” Tia said.
“And I’m glad you listened,” Leo replied.
They both giggled and waved goodbye with tails and wings.
