Lemon the puppy woke up early one morning. He wagged his tail and barked happily.
“Lemon, why are you up so early?” asked his friend, Kitty the cat.
“I have an idea, Kitty,” said Lemon. “I want to light up our home!”
“That sounds fun!” Kitty replied. “But how will you do it?”
Lemon thought and thought. Their home was often too dark.
He remembered how the sunshine made everything bright and happy.
“Let’s gather lots of bright and shiny things!” Lemon said excitedly.
“Great idea! Where do we start?” asked Kitty.

Lemon and Kitty went outside. They found shiny rocks and colorful flowers.
They picked up a red flower. “Look, Kitty! This will make our home bright!”
“Yes! Let’s find more,” Kitty agreed, purring.
They found a blue rock, a yellow leaf, and an orange feather.

They carried all the bright things back home. Lemon placed them around their den.
“Wow, look at all the colors!” Kitty exclaimed. “But it’s still not very bright.”
Lemon looked around. “We need more light,” he said, thinking hard.
Just then, Mr. Owl flew by. “Why not hang the shiny things near the window?”
“That’s a great idea!” Lemon shouted.

Lemon and Kitty hung the shiny things near the window. The sunlight hit them and lit up the whole room.
“Look, it’s so bright now!” Kitty laughed. “You did it, Lemon!”
“Thanks for helping, Kitty,” Lemon said, wagging his tail.
They sat together, happy and warm in their bright, shiny home.
The End.
