“Come on, Mila! We need to move faster!” shouted Ethan, sprinting ahead on the sandy beach.
Mila panted, trying to keep up. “Wait for me, Ethan! My legs are tired!”
“We can’t stop now,” Ethan replied, looking over his shoulder. “We need to reach the old shipwreck before dark!”
Ethan and Mila had heard stories about the ghostly shipwreck from their grandparents.
They lived in a small coastal town with not much to do during summer vacations.
One evening, their grandpa told them about a ship that had mysteriously appeared on the shore many years ago.
“Some say the ship is haunted,” Grandpa had whispered. “Filled with ghostly secrets waiting to be found.”

Mila and Ethan decided to investigate the shipwreck themselves.
As they got closer, Mila’s eyes widened. “It looks even creepier up close!”
Ethan nodded, his eyes scanning the ship. “Do you think there are really ghosts here?”
They climbed aboard, the old wood creaking under their feet.
“Look, Ethan! A staircase leading down,” Mila pointed. “Should we go?”
“I think we should,” Ethan said, feeling braver than he was. “We came this far, right?”

Down in the belly of the ship, it was dark and cold.
“Do you hear that?” Mila whispered, trembling.
A soft, eerie whisper floated through the air. “Help us…”
“Who’s there?” Ethan called out, his voice unsteady. “We’re just kids!”
Suddenly, a ghostly figure appeared. “We have been waiting for someone brave enough,” it murmured.
Mila clutched Ethan’s arm. “What do you want?”
“We were sailors who got lost at sea,” the ghost said. “We need your help to find our way home.”
Ethan nodded. “How can we help you?”
“You must find our captain’s log,” the ghost replied. “It holds the map to our resting place.”

Ethan and Mila searched every corner of the ship.
Finally, Mila found an old book under a broken plank. “This must be it!”
They handed the log to the ghost. “Here you go,” Ethan said, heart pounding.
“Thank you,” the ghost whispered, a look of peace in its eyes. “Now we can rest.”
The ghostly figures vanished, and the ship began to crumble.
“Run, Mila!” Ethan shouted. They raced outside just as the ship collapsed into the sea.
Panting and relieved, they looked at each other. “That was awesome,” Mila said, grinning.
Ethan nodded. “We solved the ghostly ship mystery!”
