They danced in the air.
Jack smiled and clapped.
“It is autumn,” said Dad.
“Leaves fall in autumn.”
Lily pointed to a red leaf.
“This leaf is pretty,” she said.

“Do leaves tell stories?” asked Jack.
“Yes, they do,” said Mom.
“The wind helps them,” she added.
Lily and Jack listened.

“Do you hear that?” asked Lily.
The leaves rustled loudly.
“They are dancing and talking!” said Jack.
Mom and Dad laughed.

“Leaves love to dance,” said Dad.
“And tell stories,” added Mom.
Lily and Jack clapped again.
The leaves danced on.
