Bat woke up as the moon began to shine.
“Time to fly!” Bat said to himself.
His wings spread wide, and off he went.
The night sky twinkled with stars.
“Who wants an adventure?” Bat asked.
His friend Owl hooted, “I do!”
Bat loved exploring at night.
He used his ears more than his eyes.
“Why do you use your ears, Bat?” asked Owl.
“Because I use echolocation,” Bat replied.
“It’s like magic sound that guides me.”
Owl blinked in wonder. “Wow, that’s cool!”

Bat and Owl flew over the forest.
They listened for sounds in the dark.
“Who else is awake?” asked Bat.
“We are!” chirped some crickets.
“And us too!” said the fireflies.
Bat smiled. “The night is so alive.”
“Teach me about echolocation,” said Owl.
“Alright,” Bat giggled. “Follow me and listen.”
They flew near a tree full of leaves.
“Watch how I find my way,” Bat said.
He made little squeaks that bounced back.
“Those echoes tell me where everything is,” he explained.

Suddenly, Bat heard a strange noise.
“What’s that?” Owl asked, worried.
“It’s a lost baby bird,” said Bat.
“Let’s help!” Owl flapped his wings.
Bat used his echolocation to find the bird.
“There you are, little one,” Bat said gently.
The baby bird cheeped, “I’m scared!”
“No need to worry,” Bat assured.
“We’ll take you back,” Owl said kindly.
Bat led the way with his squeaks.

They reached the baby bird’s nest.
“Thank you!” said the baby bird happily.
“Glad we could help,” Bat said.
Owl and Bat flew back up.
“Nighttime is full of friends,” Bat declared.
“Yes, and full of surprises,” laughed Owl.
They soared under the moonlight with a smile.
Exploring the night was always a delight.
The end.
