Jack was in the park with his friends, Ella and Max.
They were playing tag near the swings.
“You’re too slow, Max,” laughed Jack as he tagged him.
“I’ll catch you,” Max shouted, running after Jack.
Suddenly, the ground began to shake.
“What’s that?” Ella asked, stopping in her tracks.
They looked up and saw a strange spaceship hovering above the park.
“Is that a UFO?” Jack asked, his eyes wide with wonder.
Jack, Ella, and Max had always been interested in space.
They loved reading books about aliens and planets.
“Remember our plan?” Jack asked.
“We’re going to be Earth’s heroes!” Max replied, excitedly.
Their town was small and peaceful.
Nothing exciting ever really happened here.
But today was different.
People started to gather in the park, looking at the sky.
“Stay close,” Ella said, grabbing Jack and Max’s hands.
“We need to find out what they want.”

A door opened on the spaceship, and a ramp descended.
Out came small, green aliens with big eyes.
“Greetings, Earthlings,” said the tallest alien.
“We come in peace.”
The children stepped forward, feeling both scared and curious.
“I am Jack, these are my friends,” Jack introduced.
“We want to learn about your planet,” the tall alien said.
“Can you help us?”
“We’ll help, but you must promise not to harm anyone,” Ella said bravely.
“We promise,” the alien replied.
“First, we need to know why you came here,” Max said.
The alien seemed to pause, thinking.
“Our planet is dying,” it finally said.
“We need resources to survive.”
“Can we see your spaceship?” Jack asked.
“Of course,” the alien answered.

Inside the spaceship, the kids found a room full of screens.
“This controls our ship,” said the alien.
Suddenly, alarms started to blare.
“What’s happening?” Ella asked.
One of the screens showed alien soldiers getting ready to invade.
“We must stop them!” Jack shouted.
“We didn’t know they planned this,” the tall alien said.
“Can we trust you?” Max asked, eyeing the alien.
“You must,” the alien said, urgency in its voice.
“We can disable the soldiers.”
“Let’s do it,” Ella said.
“We have to protect Earth.”
Jack found a big red button on the control panel.
“This must be it,” he said.
“Press it together,” Max suggested.
“Okay, on three,” said Ella.
One, two, three—they pressed the button together.
The lights flickered and the alarms stopped.

The alien soldiers powered down, looking confused.
“They’re harmless now,” the tall alien said.
“Our planet and yours can be friends,” it added gratefully.
“Thank you for trusting us.”
The children were relieved and happy.
They walked out of the spaceship, holding hands.
“We did it,” Jack said, smiling.
“Yeah, we saved Earth,” Max added proudly.
“And we made new friends,” Ella said.
The spaceship prepared to leave.
“We will visit again,” the tall alien promised.
The town cheered as the spaceship flew away.
Jack, Ella, and Max hugged each other.
“Our little town had a big adventure,” Jack said.
“And we were Earth’s heroes,” Max concluded.
